Taven walking the streets Empty Taven walking the streets

Taven Naïlo was walking down the streets of Sunagakure. He loved the beauty of the sun and felt its warmth upon his bare shoulders. Taven had a cloth wound around his head to protect himself from heat stroke and the energy sapping sun. Taven knew he was a measly genin but did not wish to be drained in the off chance there was an assault from enemy shinobi. This thought bugged Taven more than the thought of a world without the sands. How bizarre would it be if I couldn't see the shifting majestic sands on a daily basis. Taven chuckled amongst his thoughts as he walked by many shops and saw ninja tools at low prices. Nothing interested Taven, aside from his puppets he one day desired to use and master. No matter how hard Taven thought about anything he kept wondering if the stories of the Leaf Village and other villages were true. Would so many people boast of their journeys and battles with these seemingly fabled shinobi? This seemed impossible...

'I wonder if I will ever see these worlds that travellers speak of so lightly...' Taven said in a tone of sheer wonder and excitement. Taven then quickly ran into a side street and found some of his friends from the ninja academy. They were friends before at least, however since the Chuunin exam fiasco they seemed to loath the fact that Taven even existed. He approached quickly only to see everyone jump away and hide form him. He felt like a used toy a child no longer needed and discarded. Taven gave a elongated sigh as he slumped down onto the cold clay walls of the Sunagakure shop known simply as "Ramen Hut." Taven wished for nothing more than social acceptance but found it to be the hardest thing to find. Taven pulled his knees to his chest and hugged his arms around them as if to hold himself together. Why do they hate me so? Why can't they get it through their heads it was an accident?!?!?! Taven was torn to pieces every time he ran into other Sunagakure children. The prodigy from the village used to be Taven's ally and close friend. He also happened to be his sibling, Taven's parents detested that Taven was the child that survived. They were even more disgusted with the fact he had hidden and that is how he survived. The villagers as well didn't seem fond of Taven, though he was just a kid and thus was highly ignored in his village travels. Taven heard a small bump ahead of himself but shrugged it off as if it were normal. He then felt the familiar stones thud against his body, they felt sharper, more pain inducing today. Taven felt the blood trickle from the old wounds on his arms as the village genin threw some more sharpened stones at him. Taven knew he couldn't fight back, he did very poorly in the academy and his parents broke the puppet his brother built for him. Taven had a few old shurikan, but could never practice. His parents firbid the use or speak of shinobi talk amidst his home life. This is why Taven never enjoyed being home, he always wished for the life of a shinobi, instead he was being forced to stay home and become a village book keeper, as his father and grandfather before him. Taven wondered why the kids insisted on throwing the rocks so many days in a row, he had to lie to his parents each day for coming home bloody. His mother would strike him across the face for lying, his father would kick him one or twice. He detested the village children and his home life. He felt the entire world hated his existence. He was determined to prove the world wrong by being the best shinobi the Sunagakure had ever produced.

Taven gave a sigh as he felt the rocks stop That's weird... why did they stop? They usually do this for hours. Tavens tood up fully and covered his brow shielding his eyes from the blinding sunlight. He saw a shinobi clad in black holding one of the children. It was an Suna Special Force Shinobi, Taven wondered why an elite ninja would even bother to help Taven. Taven backed up into the main streets of Sunagakure but as he did he saw the swift movement of a shadow from the alley he had just made his egress from. Taven was in strong question as to who it was and what they wanted from him. He wondered if he should go back home or if he should stay in the village main street for safety. He almost didn't want to decide right away, half of him wanted to stay the other wanted to run. He was done running, he had to stay and face whatever this man or person was.

Taven walking the streets Empty Re: Taven walking the streets

Taven entered back into the quiet corridor he had previously exited. He was cautious and pulled out a kunai that he had kept from the broken remains of his old puppet. Taven desired and wished he had his puppet still so he could have a better defence here. Taven held the kunai tightly as he looked over the corner of the clay wall. It was amazingly chilled on his face and he would have sat there for hours, had he not needed to discover this person's motives. Taven jumped forward and rolled onto the sand. He used the forward momentum from the roll to allow himself to quickly stand up. He quickly threw a rusted shurikan towards the shadow he had just spotted moving. A loud clank of metals occurred and Taven quickly found himself in a tightly bound grasp.

Taven had an arm around his throat and it was squeezing tightly limiting his air supply. What the hell? Where did he come from.... It can't end like this someone help me!!! Taven struggled to break free of the iron grasp but found it only grew tighter, he had begun to see spots. He wondered where he could be and what was happening fully. It all happened so fast, was he going to live? Taven felt his vision blur fully as his eyes closed and his arms grew numb. His brain was shutting off due to a lack of oxygen. Taven fell to the sand helpless as he was now fully unconscious.

The man who was choking Taven out grabbed the younger boy and threw him over his shoulder. The man leapt to the roof of the shop and quickly made his escape towards the Suna deserts. He traveled quickly and without any plans on slowing or stopping until he had arrived at his proper destination.
