Description: The Kesshoukei("System of Crystallization") clan are those who are capable of utilizing the Lightning and Earth elements to form the 'Shouton' style(Crystal Style). They combine a 2:1 Lighting:Earth chakra ratio in order to create a hot, mineral-like chakra. They are then capable of crystallizing this chakra and manipulating it. The clan rarely has any jutsus that are set in stone, and instead they use the clan jutsus to further their own manipulation. Thus, the clan is based around simply making their Crystal Manipulation fit around their own fighting style. A unique, non-combatant trait of a Kesshoukei is the ability to store data within a carefully crafted crystal. The crystal used can even display images, sounds, etc. However, only a Kesshoukei can tap into the data and activate it.. Making it a very useful information gathering technique when used by higher powered members capable of creating harder than diamond crystal.

Limitations: At a genin level, a Kesshoukei is capable of converting their own chakra into basic crystals and converting metals, rocks, and other non-sentient objects that they make contact with. At chuunin level, they're capable of converting larger sums of chakra into harder crystals and transforming objects about 5 feet in front of them to a crystallized form. At jounin level they are capable of converting living flesh into crystals... but it's extremely hard to do when the flesh is in motion. They can now transform their chakra into massive forms of crystal. In no circumstance will a Kesshoukei EVER be able to transform other people's chakra into crystals, meaning simply coating yourself with a chakra layer will prevent someone from fully crystallizing your body.


Genin Techniques

The training and development of a genin ranked Kesshoukei is based around fundamental manipulation. They are taught to use minimal amounts of jutsu, and instead rely on their crystal manipulation. As a result of this, they are provided with basic Shouton style jutsus that simply promote the manipulation of crystals. A genin's crystals are relatively weak... while they can be made to be extremely sharp, the crystal can be easily broken by force.

Ekishou: Liquid Crystal. By applying a higher amount of lightning chakra to their earth chakra, they can melt the crystal as its formed. This can be used for a variety of techniques, where the Kesshoukei can reharden the crystal at will.

Yosouya: Crystal Gazer. Since all crystals created by a Kesshoukei is formed by their chakra, it is forever connected to them. With this, a genin is capable of seeing through all crystal they've created.


Chuunin Techniques

As a chuunin, a Kesshoukei is taught to shape their crystals into more descriptive forms. Because of this, they are taught various bloodline jutsus that enable them to form their Shouton style into their own style. As a chuunin, they can make their crystals much harder, thus basic force will no longer shatter their techniques.

Hishigata: Diamond Shape. The Kesshoukei will hold the unshaped crystal in their hands as it forms, and manipulate it into finer shapes as it grows. Since they're chuunin, they're capable of much bigger crystals, and they often form them into animal-mockings.

Kurokongouseki: Black Diamond. After forming their crystal, they will 'corrupt' the chakra within the crystal(Or, more specifically, they will remove the mental/spiritual energy put into the chakra, thus leaving a 'corrupted' form of just body energy behind). The corrupted chakra will cause the crystal to explode, making several blackened shards fly out.

Kurisutarugarasu: Crystal Glass. Probably the only genjutsu a Kesshoukei will ever use. The user will project a rectangle of glass in front of their target, and then the glass will reflect their target(s). Only... the reflection won't just reflect the person, it will make everything they ever wanted appear along side them... a lover, material possessions, mansions, riches, anything that they desire will appear along side them. The illusion projected in the crystal glass will draw the target towards it, slowly warping their minds into believing they're living their finest dreams. The genjutsu is possible to break, if and only if the target is capable of learning to let go of things they love and desire.


Jounin Techniques

As a jounin, the Kesshoukei has by now mastered their manipulation style, and is now allowed to learn the more advanced Shouton Jutsus. A jounin's crystal is as hard as diamond, perhaps harder if they apply more chakra. They can make huge forms of crystal now.

Hari Chi: Crystal Blood. This is a two part technique:

The first part allows them to crystallize the flesh of living beings that they make contact with. As stated above, its near impossible to crystallize flesh that's in movement. A thin layer of chakra around the skin will prevent a Kesshoukei from completely crystallizing someone to instant death.

The second part allows them to literally crystallize themselves. This process will completely turn their body into a harder-than-diamond crystal substance, from which they can manipulate. It requires a huge mental strain, but because their body is now completely crystallized, their chakra can travel instantly anywhere in their body without chakra point and they can suffer no flesh wounds. They can also use their own chakra to repair any chips or scratches made in their body. This process will only last for 13 posts, after which the user will be unable to move for 30 straight hours.

History and Brief Explanation of the Kesshoukei: The Kesshoukei were one of the first clans to ever arise. It is speculated they formed among, if not before, the time of the Sage of Six Paths. They are known for their passion in collecting and storing information... A trait which is complemented by the ability to store data within a crystal. They store the crystals containing this information and data in large archives created by only the most powerful of manipulators. The Kesshoukei have collected data for centuries. Secrets of life, space, earth, shinobi, and everything else you can think of is stored within the shelves of the Shouton archives. In fact, it is a right of passage that every new leader that inherits the clan(Yes, usually it is inherited by a direct descendant of the current leader. The leader will usually wed the most powerful manipulator aside from themselves due to this.) reads the information stored within the deepest depths of the massive archive.. A place of which is mostly restricted to only the leader. The hardness of the crystal and fact that only Kesshoukei can read the data ensures the archives could till the end of time, making them the greatest 'library' on Earth. The greatest of time keepers, these crystal manipulators hold information no other shinobi could imagine. Anything not known can and will be stored if possible... From a new birth, to a single unrelated village's affairs. Kesshoukei are renowned for hiding among many different villages, groups, organizations, etc and keeping key places in power in order to access any information they want. It is a strange trait, and not even the Shouton-users themselves know why they do it. Their bloodline itself drives them to the point of madness in the search for infinite knowledge.
