Vast Canyons of Iwagakure

Kain entered the canyons, he searched for the scent of a dog as he walked along the upper ground of the canyons. He sniffed the air and kept his ears open for any sound of an animal, the clouds overhead covered the moon, which was the only light available for anyone in the canyons. Kuro walked along the ground as he found a suitable area to overlook the canyons, he sighed and ran his left hand through his hair, the as the clouds continued to move, the moon was shone, and Kuro looked out into the vastness of the canyons. The sight struck awe in him, but he did not continue to hold in awe, he quickly heard the howls of wolves and coyotes among other animals, he searched for the particular sound of a dog. There upon the cliff of the canyon he waited

Suddenly he heard more howls at the bright, ever-present moon. He smiled as he noted that it was a dog's howl, He focused and pinointed the area that the howl came form, he deterimined the distance of the echo's and the origination of it. He quickly took off, he jumped over the edge and glided down the side of the canyon, as he neared a ledge he kicked off the wall then flipped and spun while kicking off the ledge also as he landed on the floor in a bent and crouched position and his right hand on the ground, he then looked behind him and then forward as he darted forward at fast pace as he turned down one area then quickly turning left going down another, he jumped over a rock as he quickly raced to the area of the howling.

Kuro stopped as he neared what seemed like a pack of dogs, he quickly hid along the side of the canyon wall. He peaked around and saw a dog cornered by a pack of cougar, it was at that moment that he knew that this wasn't going to be easy, he took out 4 shuriken as he peaked out over the side. He counted the assailant cougars....1...2.....3...4.....there was 4 of them and he was ready, he quickly focused chakra in his feet as he climbed upon the canyon wall, he crept around the corner as he got into a position to strike, but suddenly as he was getting settled, a rock fell and alerted the cats of his presence, acting quickly he threw the shuriken, but only hit 2 of them and only 1 died as the shuriken struck behind the cat's ear and into the brain, the other merely got a cut along its flank, Kain smiled as they scattered, he withdrew 2 kunai and flipped infront of the dog, he eyed the remaining 3 cougar as they crept up on him, he turned to the dog quickly noting the black tip tail and the brownish fur, it was confirmed that it was the dog he was looking for.

Kuro then quickly turned back to the cougars that were attacking him, he turned just in time to meet the attack as he plunged his kunai into the chest of the beast just as it bit his shoulder and clawed at his chest and stomach, cutting them but only slightly, the cat bit at him just as it fell limp and died. He then threw it off as he threw a kunai at one of the cougars, it jumped to the left and Kuro rapidly threw the other kunai at it, and just as it landed, his kunai dug deep into its throat, he then ducked as the other cougar jumped at him, he then quickly jumped up and tackled the cat to the ground as it just barely passed his head, he wrestled with the cat as he got ontop of it. Kuro desperately reached into his pouch for a kunai while his other hand was on the cats throat squeezing with tremendous force. He cat brutally attacked him as it clawed at his sides and chest and bit his hand, he thought passed the pain and finally reached a shuriken that was closer, he quickly brought it to the front and sliced the throat of the cat, where it then bled out and died.

Kuro felt victorious and happy, so much that he let out a vicious roar, which in turn scared the dog into running away. Looking at the dog run he then remembered that it was the dog he was supposed to rescue. He ran after it focusing his chakra into his feet, he took out a shuriken and threw it infront of the dog, the dog then stopped out of fear. The dog stopping was just what Kuro needed he rushed and picked it up, it whimpered in his hand, he smiled as the dog licked his chin. He sighed as he ran up the wall of the cliff and stood atop it looking out, he looked around and found the path to the village. And just in time, the sun was rising,quickly Kuro rushed to the Village.
